Whole30 Day #39: From “Blah!” to “Ahhh!”

Although I love my Wednesday nights with our Lifegroup, they can make for rough Thursdays. I made a terrible decision to go ahead and only get 6 hours of sleep! Ugh. I was so exhausted I felt nauseous. However, I was incredibly grateful to Past Jessi for preparing extra breakfasts and lunches so that I didn’t have to do anything more than shower, grab tupperware, and go!

It’s Going to Be a Rough One Guys

Once at work, I ate my quiche at my desk. Unfortunately, GTD ThursdaysI still felt like a zombie. Since we are very close to a coffee shop, I opted for an iced coffee, rather than a cup of hot from my machine on my desk. It tasted good, but gave me the jitters. I’ll be honest, I rode the struggle bus all day. At lunch, I enjoyed my homemade greek turkey balls with green beans and cauliflower rice. It was delicious, but didn’t give me the energy I was hoping for.

Decided to work from home in the afternoon so I could rest in the dark. Sat down with my work book – Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity, which by the way is changing my life!! Anyway, I read through a chapter before I couldn’t take it anymore and passed out. Just 40 minutes please… (I read somewhere that this is the magic number for naps)

Picnic, Friends, and Entertainment

ChickenSaladI woke up feeling like a million bucks! Whew! This evening, I had plans to attend an outdoor musical with friends, so if I wasn’t feeling better, I would be less than thrilled. But, the nap turned me around quickly. Since we’d be having dinner out in a park, I needed something easy and quick. So, I chose my new favorite go-to: Bacon, Onion, Chicken salad on lettuce. With a side of fruit! So delicious and fresh!

We ate our Whole30 approved dinners on a blanket as we waited for the show to start. My friend brought along some homemade fruit leather and plain, but roasted, pecans! You might say I “indulged” a bit during the show and enjoyed my fair share of the homemade goodies. 🙂
