Whole30 Day #50: Let’s Go Monday!

Starting the week off with some extra sleep on Sunday makes a world of difference. So much energy! Is it the sleep or Whole30? Who knows, but I love it! Bring it on Monday!

New Workout

For the past week, I’ve been on the lookout for a new workout since my 8-week body fat shredding workout. Seth sent me something new to try, another one for body fat shredding, from T-Nation. It is very different from anything I’ve ever done, but day one wasn’t too bad! Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Side note: I have a blog series about this workout, so if you are interested in hearing more about it, head on over to that section.

Bring It On Monday

Made our standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, and sweet potatoes. Delicious as always! We did a repeat on our lunches so we had rotisserie chicken with red potatoes covered in cucumbers and onion. Good food all day! I was starving at 4pm — I’m serious, my stomach was so loud my office mate could here it! Luckily, I have a stash of LaraBars in my desk drawer for occasions such as this, so I enjoyed a Pecan Pie bar. It powered me through that last hour and I rushed home to cook.

Monday dinner

Dinner was inspired by a Instagram post I saw this weekend — Egg Roll in a Bowl! It turned out fantastic and Seth loved it. We both love Asian dishes and have missed our random trips to the All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet. This wasn’t all you can eat, but it was pretty delicious. 🙂

Marriage Monday

We needed a good dinner to have energy to keep us going this evening. First, we did our first 2-a-day part of the new work: sledging our tree out back. Whew! That was rough. I’ll be feeling it tomorrow for sure.

Time for our double date at Defy Gravity!! Another good thing about Whole30 is that we can rush through dinner and run off to do some intense activity and not feel sick at all! It was a lovely evening with good friends. Want to hear more about this one? Check out my Marriage Monday blog about it.
